Hi all. I'm only 1/4th the way to where I need to be on my PodTrac surveys. I'm going to begin asking listeners to fill it out on the next show, but for those of you who visit the website, I'd really appreciate it if you could fill out the survey for me. I'm shooting for a minimum of 200 surveys, currently I'm sitting at only 50.

This is a part of an e-mail I sent to my wife today from work. A perfect example, she says, of how I say things in a strange way...glad she's there to point this crap out for me...

The chili cook-off contest was taking place while I was working so by the time I got in to eat some grub, the #1 place chili was all gone. Apparently, the random crock pot of chili-like mush I chose to eat out of must have come in last place because I honestly would have rather licked a foot than finish my bowl.

losing listeners sucks, so.....

After loosing 4/5 my listeners after my old host died, it was totally killing me. So I bought my old domain (and required fucking space) again for another year using listener donations. $46 down the drain? Kind of...but then again, to get back those listeners who I lost when the old rss died, I think it's worth it to get them all back into the fold.

The old feed will be working again in a few days, and I'll keep posting new shows to it, but eventually I'll get everyone moved over to the new feed.

This is an example of how nuts a baby can make people...my wife has no idea how this pig got in our fridge...I didn't put it there, there's no way the baby could have gotten up 5 feet to place it there, so it had to have been my wife.....she has no memory of placing this toy pig in the fridge....we laughed our asses off to the point of painful bellies...babies...they'll mess with your brains!

Louisville Days + Flickr photos

Well, the wife and I went to "Louisville Days". A tradition in many small towns around here, they get together once a year and have a parade, showcase local businesses, and there is usually a street dance with a band outside the main bar in town, Good Times.

We beat the heat for 2 hours and I had my iRiver. I grabbed some parade audio and I hope to do something with it for the show. In the mean time, I've set up a Flickr photo thingie somewhere on the right side of this page. This is the very street in which I had the verbal battle of the century with the Ding Ding Man from Episode #13.

The wife and I are home for a rest and a shower before we head back sans baby for tonight's drinking festival. I may try to iRiver some more stuff but I'm not sure how it'll turn out.

Yes, my bestest buddy Mike went to the Omaha live wrestling show and was able to sneak into the first 10 minutes a Twisted Pickle sign. We're working out details on getting the quick vid clip into the RSS feed but we're having some trouble figuring out the local cable company's DVR system...and the VHS may not have been started soon enough.

Either way, the sign was on RAW (or whatever...the last time I watched wrestling, King Kong Bundy was a skinny fuck).

18 is a work in progress. The iRiver makes it easy to record on the fly but FUCK, if I don't have my notes, I sound like an even bigger tool then when I'm sitting in front of all my yellow sticky pads with a semi-structured show!

A few things have recently come to my attention and I feel it is my duty as a civil human being to point them out to you. To make things easy, I'll bullet the subjects so you can mentally ingest them one by one.

* A baby will not get frost bite from holding a cherry popsicle. Find one instance of such an occurrence in any medical journal not published in Romania and then we'll talk.

* When curious about how well behaved a baby was at daycare, asking a 1-year-old 5 times "Were you a good girl today" is not the magic trigger phrase that will amazingly turn on the communication link in the young one's mind enabling her to utter in perfect English "Just fine, grandmother. How was your lovely afternoon?" If you want to know how the baby was at daycare, ask the father who has just walked into the house with the baby and has asked 20 minutes prior of the daycare lady how well the baby did.

* Repeating questions over and over to a 1-year-old will net you the exact same response. When you repeat "Are you hungry" or "Are you poopie" to said child, please realize you are going to get the exact same god damn response she gave you the first time....which is most likely something to the effect of "gah. bahd aah na na na bah gah buah...."

* Yes, the yogurt tastes good. That's why she attacks the mother fucking spoon like a fiend every time I approach her with said spoonful of yumminess. If she didn't enjoy thoroughly the ingestion of the tasty treat, do you thing she'd be so anxious for the next mouthful? Idiot....

* I realize this is unbeknownst to you, but the baby is incapable of understanding the phrase “Don’t pull on the cat’s tail”. She is also unaware of the meaning of “Don’t stand on the fireplace”, “Don’t play in the toilet”, “Don’t eat that graying dog turd in the back yard”, “Don’t pull the blinds closed”, “Don’t open the door”, and most importantly, you bitch, she DOES NOT RESPOND TO “Oh Stop!!!!!” when she is whining and crying. For the love of shit sandwiches, you retched wench, when the baby is crying and you say “Oh Stop!!!!!” I want to hit you in the head with a mother fucking brick. NEVER do it again...

I'd rather hit my dick with a hammer than change the oil on a car...but the wife's been nagging and I had to do it. Actually, she did it. I just stepped her through it. Now she's all proud and pushing her chest out (yay hooters)....if she did so much, how the hell did I end up covered in dirt and motor oil and she still looks like a god damn runway model?

Anyway, hoping to catch Ep 3 this weekend...yea, I'm a geek...surprise. I'm also hoping to record some shows. I've got about 2 worth of material...we'll see.

The new iRiver'll be here early next week so I can start doing more shows while sitting in my car at lunch break or ont he way home. I'm no longer tied to the PC for performing! This is going to be awesome!
